Abstract

The Polish Telemedicine Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Telemedycyny i eZdrowia) was established in 1997 and was registered in 1998. PTTMeZ Board has decided to start up a project in the form of the new journal The Advances in mHealth, eHealth, Telemedicine and Medical Informatics. It is a development of the idea which began in 2008 during the conference with the same name, Advances in eHealth and Telemedicine International, held in Warsaw, Poland. Through the Society’s organizational changes and new initiatives,  the idea continued for five years. Now the idea becomes a reality, with the need to share the observations, experiences, and ideas of the implemented numerous solutions in these fields, in Poland and  Worldwide.

The Advances in mHealth, eHealth, Telemedicine and Medical Informatics is a peer reviewed journal focusing on theories, methods, and applications in mHealth, eHealth, telemedicine, medical informatics and imaging informatics in medicine. The Journal will publish research articles, short communications, technical communications, review articles, book reviews and other papers focused on the field.

All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical, and all manuscripts will be reviewed. Articles submitted to the journal should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should follow the style of the journal and are subject to both review and editing. Submitted papers should be written in English. However, we would like to ask authors whose native language is not English to proofread their papers by a native speaker (for example - www.propermedicalwriting.com).

The Advances in mHealth, eHealth, Telemedicine and Medical Informatics will review papers within approximately one month of submission and will publish accepted articles on the internet immediately upon receiving the final versions.

All published journal papers are refereed by competent researchers and scientists. Therefore, a full double-blind refereeing process is used in which:

  • Papers are sent to reviewers for their review process.
  • The reviewers' recommendations determine whether a paper will be accepted/requested for minor revision / requested resubmission after major revision / rejected.

Authors are requested to submit articles using this online platform after registering their own personal account. Submission process is automated and all actions are performed online.
